The Miner Road Residence is nestled into a grove of oak trees on the Oakland Hills. The Bay Area home takes advantage of the pre existing tree canopy while striking a bold profile. The rectilinear structure features floor to ceiling windows, a Corten steel exterior, and native white oak interior. The fireplace in the living room was the only structural component kept from the home that previously occupied the lot. The Faulkner Architects masterpiece feels like the modern, high end treehouse of my dreams.
