The tundra this time of year is DRY, cold, windy, snowy and did I mention DRY? Moving from coastal San Francisco, my skin has been in culture shock this winter. After two months of trial and error my skin is currently tolerating this new climate and I am counting that as a win. Here are a few life savers I currently have on rotation.
derma e Hydrating Cleanser is a gentle, sulfate-free face wash that doesn't dry out your skin. The cleanser keeps skin clear of breakouts and dewy at the same time, a true rarity.
This guy is a godsend. I have gone through more than a few moisturizers that leave my skin feeling anything but hydrated. Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream is technically a 24 hour moisturizer but I use it morning and night. Heavier than other products but there is zero greasy feeling here.
Now I am not sure of the actual moisturizing qualities of this one, but with this scent who cares! Heritage Store Rosewater Spray is the first product on my face in the morning after face wash. I wait for the spray to soak in before moisturizing. It wakes me up (bonus) and smells amazing.
Dry hands and feet rejoice Worker B Cream has come to save you. This heavy duty, putty like solution is a cuticle and dry heel healer. PS it's made in Minneapolis, these folks get dry skin.
All around lotion winner goes to Kiss My Face Natural Moisturizer with Coconut Oil. No grease, absorbs quickly and keeps moisture in. Win, win, win.
Finally the lotion everyone should carry in your purse, at all times Ahava Mineral Hand Cream. Go order it. See for yourself what "Dead Sea Water" can do for your paws.
Go forth with happy skin!
